2025 MWSC Board of Directors Candidates

Board Nominees

There are four available board seats this year; members may vote for up to four candidates.

    Officer Candidates (1-year term)

    President

    Kaylee King

Kaylee King has been a Mt. Washington resident and MWSC member since 2020. She has two daughters, Ruby (7) and Kitt (4). Kitt prefers a King Cone, with the ice cream removed. Ruby is more of a Reeses kid.

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Kaylee made her way out to Baltimore via Chicago, New York and London and has been living in Baltimore since 2018. Professionally, Kaylee is managing director and partner at a Brooklyn and Baltimore-based creative agency called Special Operations.

As pool president, Kaylee would love to keep the positive momentum of the last season going. Maintaining events, hours, clear communication with members and promoting a safe and fun environment for everyone. Additionally, maintenance repairs to the clubhouse is something she would like to focus on as we head into the 2025 season.

    Treasurer

    Amy Noji

Incumbent. Amy has served as Treasurer for one term.

Amy has a long history as a member at the pool, and has previously served as board president. She is currently leading a committee for long-term budget and vision planning for the board.

    Secretary

    Ed Schmalzle

Incumbent. Ed has served as Secretary and Membership chair for two terms.

Board of Directors Candidates (3-year term)

    Marc Braun

Marc has served on the MWSC board for several years. Marc has been the go-to person for various repairs and maintenance at the club, including landscaping, plumbing repairs, sourcing hard-to-find parts, and more. He also keeps our maintenance companies honest, making sure that the work is done correctly and providing alternative options when estimates are unreasonable.

    Mike Pinkin

Mike has enjoyed serving on the board for six years, three of those years as president. He is interested in making sure that the next president is set up for success, and would like to renew his board term to continue documenting club processes, and continue working to improve the pool in a reduced capacity. As president, Mike oversaw the re-plastering of both pools, the transition to online accounts and billing, and updating our service contracts to improve service at reduced cost.
